Astroparticle Physics
	Prof. Katsushi Arisaka and Dr. Hanguo Wang Dark Matter Search
	The particle astrophysics group at UCLA, led by Prof. Katsushi Arisaka and Dr. Hanguo Wang, is actively involved in new experiments to search for the Dark Matter, using liquid Xenon, radiation-free photon detectors. An REU student is expected to work mostly on the detector development for the future large scale experiment, called XAX (Xenon-Argon-Xenon -- http://arxiv.org/abs/0808.3968).
