	Our research interest is to construct subatomic resolution investigation tools, generally called Scanning Probe Microscopes (SPM). Distance (position) measurement and control is at the heart of every SPM, such as tunneling – (STM) and atomic force (AFM) microscopes. Our goal is to develop optical and microwave measurement tools to provide feedback for displacement with pico-meter precision and stability.
